Merry Christmas Reindeer

Hi there,

here's another creation using the new Karten-Kunst Viecher im Winter (Winter Critters) stamp set:

  • stamp the adorable little reindeer from the Karten-Kunst Viecher im Winter set with Versafine Onyx Black and color the image with Derwent Drawing pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen and Glossy Accents to its nose
  • cut out a stitched rectangle and a stitched hill-shape from Bristol Smooth cardstock
  • add color to the background with Distress Oxide Ink (Broken China, Faded Jeans) and mist it with water
  • add tiny snowflake splatters with watered-down acrylic paint
  • cut out the Karten-Kunst Kleine Texte Frohe Weihnachten from beige cardstock
  • adhere the panel to a kraft cardbase
  • add Neat & Tangled Like Magic Sequins as final embellishments

Have a christmasy day.

Yours,

Soar ATC

Hi there,

this is just a quick reminder of this month's Mixed Media Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog. If you are interested in the products I used or other STAMPlorations, ARTplorations or CUTplorations products, I have a special treat for you: use the discount code STAMPGIRLTANJA and get 20% off on all stamps, stencils, and dies.

  • cut out an ATC from sturdy white cardstock with one of the dies from the the CUTplorations ATC/Tag Builder set
  • I used a piece of underpaper on which I created the Fixed Star Tag as a background for this ATC - I just love those outlined stars that appeared when I cleaned the ARTplorations Oh! My Stars Mini stencil
  • draw a line around the edges with a black Stabilo All pencil and activate the color with a wet watercolor brush
  • stamp the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Noteworthy 2 set and some birds from the STAMPlorations Trendy Birds 2 set with Versafine (Onyx Black)
  • stamp the "Born to Fly" text from the STAMPlorations Trendy Birds 2 set into the background - only use second, third and fourth generation stamping
  • create a watercolor background using Brusho (Turquoise) and Color Burst (Orchid)
  • I used an empty sticker sheet as a circle stencil together with a white gel pen

I hope you got inspired and don't forget to join us for our Mixed Media Challenge over at the STAMPlorations Blog. The theme is always anything mixed media except a card. You must use at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. The Linky closes at the end of the month.

Yours,
